Description
The rose cards evoke fond memories for me. A lifetime ago, I remember when he showed up at my door, arms filled with a bouquet of red roses and two dozen bagels that he’d purchased at a bakery in New York City just before hopping on the plane to hurry home for our first date. Ever since, those roses have intertwined through the many wedding anniversaries we have now celebrated together.
We long ago gave up on trying to get a table at our favorite restaurants on Valentine’s Day. Instead, we opt to create a delicious and carefully crafted dinner for the two of us in the comfort of our own home. Candles twinkle on the table, shedding almost surreal light on the bouquet of roses that sits off from the delicate noshes I’ve made for appetizers.
Now, in honor of the love we have for those in our lives whom we hold close, I offer you my rose greeting cards. This watercolor rose greeting cards feature a pink rose design and prose about roses if you like. The text on the cards with prose says:
“ROSE | Rosa Rubiginosa | The fruit of the rose is the rose hip | Rose hips are a rich source of Vitamin C | The thorns are technically prickles, which are outgrowths of the stem | Rose oil, water, and syrup are used in food and perfume | The plants need full sun and are heavy feeders, so enrich their soil”
